Job Description

We are currently seeking a Chef to join our team in Sweden. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and preparing high-quality dishes that meet our customers’ expectations. The Chef must be creative, have a passion for cooking, and be able to manage a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Plan menus and create dishes that meet customer expectations, ensuring that they are well-balanced and nutritionally sound
  • Prepare food for all meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and ensure that all dishes are cooked to the highest quality standards
  • Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and in good working condition
  • Order food supplies and manage inventory to ensure that all ingredients are available when needed
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards, including monitoring and documenting the temperature of food storage areas and refrigerators
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as sales and catering, to ensure that menus are appropriate for specific events and that all dietary restrictions are accommodated
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

Qualification

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or a related field preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, including food preparation, presentation, and kitchen management
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to manage a team of kitchen staff
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment in the kitchen
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations and guidelines
