Catering Assistant
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Catering Assistant to join our team in Sweden. The successful candidate will support our catering operations by assisting with food preparation, setup, service, and cleanup. The Catering Assistant will work closely with other staff members to ensure that all events are executed smoothly and efficiently, while providing exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing salads, and assembling sandwiches
- Set up and maintain catering stations, including tables, linens, and other equipment
- Serve food and beverages to guests, while ensuring that all products are fresh, well-presented, and properly labeled
- Clean and maintain catering equipment, including dishes, utensils, and other supplies
- Assist with packing and transporting catering supplies and equipment to and from event sites
- Attend to guest requests and concerns in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, and comply with all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Work closely with other staff members to ensure that all events are executed smoothly and efficiently, while providing exceptional service to our clients
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
Qualification
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Catering Assistant or in a similar position in the hospitality industry is preferred
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and service, including proper handling and storage of food products
- Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and welcoming personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads, including catering equipment and supplies
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
