Baggage Porter

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Baggage Porter to join our team in Sweden. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and delivering luggage to and from guest rooms, as well as providing excellent customer service to our guests. The Baggage Porter will work closely with the Front Desk, Bell Desk, and Housekeeping departments to ensure that guest requests are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with the handling of luggage
  • Deliver and retrieve luggage to and from guest rooms, ensuring that all luggage is properly tagged and accounted for
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, including offering information and assistance with hotel amenities, local attractions, and transportation
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of baggage storage areas
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of luggage carts, tags, and other supplies
  • Work closely with other hotel departments, including the Front Desk, Bell Desk, and Housekeeping, to ensure guest requests are met in a timely and efficient manner
  • Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures related to luggage handling and guest services
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

Qualification

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Baggage Porter or in a similar position in the hospitality industry is preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and welcoming personality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to handle and lift heavy luggage, up to 50 pounds
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
